About Grill Bon

When you step into Grill Bon, you immediately get that warm, inviting sense of a Japanized Western restaurant that somehow feels both familiar and exciting. Tucked away at 1 Chome‑17‑17 Ebisuhigashi in Naniwa Ward, Osaka, this spot has quickly become one of those local gems where the vibe is just as enjoyable as the food. What I love most about Grill Bon is how naturally it blends casual Western comfort with Japanese attention to detail-whether you’re grabbing a quick bite on your lunch break or settling in for a relaxed meal with friends. The atmosphere isn’t stuffy or pretentious; instead, it feels lively and approachable, like a place you could swing by after work or make part of your weekend routine.

From the moment you walk in, you notice the smells of grilled goodness that set your appetite tingling. They offer a range of thoughtful dishes that pair perfectly with the drinks on the menu. If you’re into beverages, Grill Bon has you covered with a solid selection of alcohol, including refreshing beers and thoughtfully crafted drinks that fit beautifully with the flavors of the food. And when you’re not in the mood for something alcoholic, a cup of coffee here hits just right, whether you’re winding down after a meal or catching up with someone over a mid‑afternoon drink.

Service at Grill Bon feels friendly and unforced, which makes every visit feel comfortable. You can choose between dine‑in and takeout options, so it’s easy to enjoy your favorites even if you’re on the go. Just keep in mind that they don’t offer delivery, which honestly gives even more reason to come in and savor the atmosphere in person. Between the welcoming vibe, diverse offerings, and location that’s easy to get to in Osaka, Grill Bon stands out as a place worth trying again and again.

A hidden gem nestled between the main streets of shinseikai - known for their beef katsu, it is fried to perfection. I had the beef curry katsu and it comes with soup and rice. Often, beef katsu tends to be tough but Grill Bon managed to churn out the most tender beef even when deep fried. Curry has a kick but it’s not spicy. Kudos to the team, worth a visit!

It’s a cozy and relaxing place to get a traditional meal! The service was lovely and they were so kind with me, because I didn’t know what to order and the dishes were amazing! Price worthy! Portions, flavours and ingredients were amazing for me. The atmosphere is so traditional and I love that! When I finished and pay, the chef went out of the restaurant to say thank you and that was beautiful. Definitely recommend it and I hope next time have the time to visit it again

It’s small restaurant a few people are running. Located in Shinsekai, Osaka. This sandwich is amazingly delicious and worthy visiting there to eat it all the way from tokyo again! I definitely recommend you should eat it!

We saw a few locals leaving the place and decided to give it a try. Hole-in-the-wall kinda place, doesn't really look like much from outside. Food is great, excellent service and very homey atmosphere.

First learned of this place when passing through Shin-Osaka station we bought sandwiches to enjoy on the trip. They were so good we resolved to visit the "home" shop. I had the 'herekatsu'. It's a beef cutlet battered and fried. The beef was cooked to perfection and was tender enough to cut with chopsticks. I will be going back.

Highly recommended, tiny little restaurant that holds no more than 12 customers. We arrived 10 minutes before they opened and already had to queue, so it's worth coming early! The burger steak and beef cutlet curry were both amazing. The broth served with our meal might be the best in Osaka.
